Do you have problems compared to 8 bit games download from the Wii with a projector?

I just bought a TV 42 "1080p LCD for my room and want a 1080p source to help to the building of the TV. Now, almost HD-DVD in a coma, then officially be my source of Blu-ray. My problem is that the player strata from Sony (BDP S-300) is now back behind the selling price of $ 399.99. A 40G PS3 at a price of $ 399.99. So why pay like peas in a Sheath price for a standalone player? It has no meaning for the consumer. Also, if you check the comments on the BDP S-300, are far from great. Apparently, this player needs constant firmware updates so that resources must be connected to the Internet or updated via burned DVD from a PC. This leads me to believe that the content player that the player is very similar, but for the same year as the PS3. Has anyone seen or heard of lower prices on the theme of the futre Blu-ray?
