Xbox 360 Live NAT will not change from Strict to Open.?

I have a Linksys Wireless WRT54G router, my Xbox 360 is hooked up wirelessly to it. All live tests are fine, except the NAT settings which is at Strict, but I need it to be open so I can connect to other people and make live run faster. Ive enabled UPnP, even opened ports 88, and 3074 correctly, but Strict will not change to open. Ive also set up a static IP address but that didnt help either. what do I do from here? Thanks

Yeah, Linksys wireless ones can be bad for that. Mine’s been good, but so many of my friends had issues with them.

• TCP 3074 ” (Microsoft’s knowledge base)

edit: I just saw you opened the ports already. Your only other option is to check for Firmware updates (it’s in your router configuration somewhere) or to contact support. It’s entirely possible that you have a bad router that is just not going to work with Live (though the model itself is compatible.)
